The Void within

When somebody goes through a heartbreak, they find themselves almost dead from inside; like a walking corpse, that’s something they turn into; like they have transformed into something which just watches things going around and all of which makes no sense to them anymore. This happens because all the good things they were expecting did not come true. The future did not go according to their wish. The person had never wondered things could go that wrong. And so, all the dreams, all the fascination, imagination seem to be absolutely useless. They can’t trust it anymore. So, after this they don’t consider relying on creating fake scenarios for pleasure because that are not real, and they don’t rely on other pleasure-stuff like delicacies, favourite songs, et cetera, because they are not interested in it any longer. They see the things as they are; and this, they had never done before in their life. All they find within themselves in complete emptiness; a complete void.

Now, this void is what seems to be scary. It’s like you’ve been put in a place where you’re all alone. You feel alone in the crowd. However, this is a truth to be realized that this emptiness is the reality of a man. Facing it only you seek yourself. Meditators often strive to attain this realization, but to go beyond this is the real challenge. Because they are hindered by this loneliness. This emptiness is exactly what is termed as Sunyata or Zero.

This void is the absolute truth. This is exactly what is within us. The reason we cannot see it is that since long we have been consistent in filling it something or the other. But he void can never be filled completely. People will do anything to escape it. That’s why the don’t bear boredom. They’ll do anything at all, in fact anything insane just to prevent facing it. But the truth is you can’t do anything. You have to embrace it.
